La Costa Brava has this name for a reason, simply meaning ‘Wild Coast’ it holds and record number of blue flag beaches, a stunning coastline and plenty of beautiful towns and villages. Tamariu
This used to be a small fishing village, and despite its size, it is perfect for families,  only an hour from Girona. The life in the town revolves around the white, sandy beach, where you will find locals also enjoying the cooling waters and natural environment. The town is full of local restaurants inviting you to enjoy their Mediterranean atmosphere and the fresh catch cooked to perfection.

Llafranc
This is considered one of the most idyllic towns of the Costa Brava region. Although the old fishing village only has 300 inhabitants, it offers lots of activities for its visitors including tours of its heritage, a whole host of summer sports in the marina and multiple Mediterranean beaches.

Cadaqués
This is arguably the most famous fishing village in the Costa Brava region. Its natural beauty has attracted artists over the century, including Pablo Picasso and Marcel Duchamp. It is most well-known however, for being the hometown of Dali’s family, and even has a House museum of the artist, which is one of the town’s main tourist attractions.

Begur
Although only located an hour away from Costa Brava, Begur is considered a little off the beaten track, and is the perfect place to get a villa in Costa Brava if you just want to get away from it all. The town dates back to prehistoric times, which makes it an attraction in itself.

Calella de Palafrugell
This is a beautiful White town is a favourite for families. The village is surrounded by no less than 8 beaches, and many people chose to rent a villa in Costa Brava for that reason alone. It is a very friendly place where everyone seems to know each other, and it is hard not to get caught up in this cheerful vibe.
