This small, charming town is ideally situated in the mountains overlooking the Maresme coast. Vallromanes offers excellent restaurants, countryside excursions, beach days, and endless games of golf. Beautifully situated at the foot of the Obac Mountains, 75 miles (121 kilometers) southeast of central Catalonia, Vacarisses is a popular destination on the outskirts of Barcelona. It is just 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Barcelona-El Prat International Airport.

Many of central Catalonia’s most interesting sights can be found within a quick drive or train ride from Vacarisses, including Montserrat Monastery and the much-loved L’Enrajolada-Santacana House Museum.

Sant Martí Sarroca

Sant Marti Sarroca is a town situated in the heart of Catalonia’s wine-growing area. This small town is a great location for those who enjoy gastronomy, the countryside, easy access to the beaches of Sitges, and the attractions of nearby Barcelona.

Santa Cristina d’Aro

The charming town of Santa Cristina d’Aro is situated in the Aro Valley in Costa Brava in the Catalonian province of Girona. The French border is just 92 kilometers from the town, and Barcelona is 99 kilometers due south.

This delightful village is situated just inland from the larger beach resort of Platja D’Aro, and offers a quiet alternative to the beach resort whilst still being within easy reach from the coast.

There are several interesting archaeological sites and caves in the local region, some dating back to the Neolithic age.
